Because privacy is this product’s core promise, we did not leave the protection to a check in application code.
Your phone number and verification records are stored separately from the profile data other users can see, and are protected by a database rule. Even a wrongly written query cannot hand them to someone else.
Masking happens on your phone. Only the masked image is sent to the call; if masking fails, no image is sent at all.
We do not record video or voice calls. Only technical details such as call duration are kept.
